Ping An Health Launches World’s First Online OSCE for Family Doctors

Revolutionizing Smart Healthcare at AI and Family Doctor Forum

From March 27-30, 2025, “AI Empowerment, Intelligent Health” Artificial Intelligence and Family Doctor Forum, jointly organized by Cross-Straits Medicine Exchange Association, Hong Kong College of Family Physicians, Taiwan Association of Family Medicine, and Macau Association of General Practitioners, was held in Haikou, China. Over 4,000 general practitioners gathered to discuss the development of medical disciplines and talent cultivation, injecting innovative momentum into general practice. Representatives from Ping An Healthcare and Technology Company Limited (“Ping An Health” or “the Company”) attended the conference.

At the conference, Professor Zhu Shanzhu, chairman of the conference, and Professor Li Guodong, jointly presented graduation certificates to the first graduates of WONCA (World Organization of Family Doctors)’s inaugural Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program for family doctors, marking the international recognition of Ping An Family Doctor’s professional capabilities and symbolizing the successful integration of China’s family doctor training system with international standards.

World’s First Online OSCE for Family Doctors Safeguards Service Quality of Ping An Family Doctor

Professor Wu Hua, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen General Practice Medical Education and Training Center and designer of Ping An Health’s first CPD program for family doctors in collaboration with WONCA, detailed the three core modules of the program: specialized course learning, independent study enhancement, and practical Internet-based healthcare, establishing a standardized framework for the training and assessment of remote/Internet-based healthcare professionals. Notably, the program completed the world’s first innovative online Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for family doctors, and assessed annual progress through the verification of phased achievements, providing important evidence for the optimization of future training programs. Professor Zhu Shanzhu from Zhongshan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University, a WONCA five-star family doctor in the Asia-Pacific region and a certified expert appointed by WONCA, reviewed the report on the phased achievements of Ping An Health’s CPD program for family doctors, and expressed her hope to introduce AI-powered innovative training models in future WONCA training programs in collaboration with Ping An Health, and to promote and replicate these models for family doctors nationwide.
